Reach Up Ōtautahi!

Reach Up Ōtautahi is a Variety Show featuring over 10 acts across music, dance, comedy, solo performances and more!

The event is a project fully created by a passionate group of Young People from Papanui High School, designed to benefit struggling families at Ronald McDonald House, and now to create a fun and exciting live performance event for us all to celebrate coming out of COVID-19 Restrictions.

This event is a partnership between Papanui High School and Papanui Youth Development Trust (LOOP Youth Centre), with all proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House South Island.

ACTS

Very popular in the Papanui area with many gigs played at PHS and LOOP. The band are also now taking steps to get into the local gigging scene. Sam the lead singer will bring his own humour and get the audience really involved with the set. They will play a number of originals and songs everyone will know, for example, Life is a Highway. The band have been hard at work writing original songs and planning gigs amidst lockdown restrictions.

Originally from Breens Intermediate, and well into their first year at Papanui, they have gotten themselves out there strongly with gigs at school and LOOP, practising regularly and getting stronger and stronger as musicians. This band is here to bring some light rock to the stage. From Green Day to Bon Jovi these guys are still here to get the crowd boogying.

Jamie plays an acoustic act with some very calming relaxing and sing-along pop songs. He is sure to be a hit with all ages and is has been a standout hit at the LOOP Band Nights with him stealing the show. Jamie may only be year 9 at CBHS but he has talent through the roof. Some would describe him as the next Ed Sheeran.

We are a group of students from Papanui High School who work collaboratively to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charity by running fun, engaging activities for our peers and community.
