What is Te Wero?

Te Wero is a city-wide scavenger hunt event where teams compete to complete challenges scattered throughout ÅŒtautahi. It's a fun-filled adventure combining puzzles, dares, and team spirit.

When and where is Te Wero 2024 happening?

Te Wero 2024 will take place on Friday, 16th August 2024, from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm at LOOP Youth Centre, 1A Harewood Road, Papanui, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand.

How do I participate?

To join, gather a team of 10 people and register through this link (https://events.humanitix.com/te-wero-2024). (If you don’t have a team in mind, you can sign up individually and we will put you in a team!)

Do we need our own transportation?

Yes, each team needs a van to move around during the event. But if you don't have access to a van, we can help you sort a van!

What types of challenges can we expect?

Challenges include random general knowledge questions, completing physical tasks, and participating in some creative dares. The goal is to earn points by successfully completing these challenges within the given time frame.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, the registration fee is $15 per person. Financial assistance might be available for those who need support.

Can I join if I'm not from the North West?

Absolutely! Te Wero welcomes participants from all over. It's a great opportunity to explore ÅŒtautahi and meet new people.

Will there be prizes for the winning team?

Yep! There will also be some random spot prizes throughout the event as well!

What should I bring to the event?

Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and a charged smartphone.
